Turkish Economy Bank Confirms New System Capacity with FASTress from Paragon Application Systems

(Holly Springs, NC—March 9, 2010) Turkish Economy Bank (TEB), a leading bank in Turkey, recently leased FASTress and professional services from Paragon Application Systems to stress test their new payment system. TEB required confirmation that their new transaction processing platform could reliably handle peak transaction volumes and their growing customer base.

“Because they were migrating to a new system which runs on application servers using Windows, TEB personnel wanted to ensure the new host processing system would handle their anticipated load,” says Harold Pruitt, Solutions Architect for Paragon Application Systems. “Much of their load testing focuses on extended high-volumes of transactions – up to 85 transactions per second – from a variety of transaction-acquiring devices. Also included in the processing mix are EMV chip card transactions, which can complicate processing and create additional system load."

Pruitt assisted TEB by setting up FASTress agents to represent their traffic from ATMs, POS, and the shared loyalty application network, as well as domestic and international transactions from BKM (the Turkish national financial switch). He also helped to analyze the results and create reports documenting TEB’s stress testing.

“Before completing our system migration, we wanted an objective measurement of our new system’s performance.
